It's freakin' CCCCCC-OOOO-OLDDDDDD

Okay, since I'm not even close to even finishing all the edits on the Vienna pictures, here's a little diddy to tide y'alls over...

So this weekend a bunch of the Geneva interns opted to attend a local wine festival out in a small town called 'Russin'. Not much to tell, we were "told" to meet at the train station at 11:30am in order to make it to the festival in time. Too bad, we were given the wrong info. Because we definitely didn't get to the festival at the right time. And we weren't even late. Try 5 hours early. How's that for intern planning.

Anyway, pretty much all the pictures begin when we arranged to meet at the station at the PROPER time.

Pretty much, just like any wine festival or festival in general, we just made our way from bar...or in this case, barn, to the next bar/barn. Sampling whatever wines we could afford with our measly intern stipends. Please examine the following various pictures...yeah it got kinda dark...and I hate taking pictures with the flash...

Yep, it's a giant wok of food. So whatcha gonna do about it, Popps?!?

Aside from the ginormous wok, particular highlights of the festival include...

...the amazing looking vineyards...

...the very entertaining musical ensembles in and around the festival (can you believe that the last pic of the guy with the synth, performed "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" in German...it blew my mind)...

...and of course, the wine.

Special Thanks goes out to the delicious grapes that make for great tasting wine, to the enormous horse turds that Ben stepped on, that just made me laugh uncontrollably...

(I know, I'm not grown up, and never will be)

...and the highschool marching bands that play the popular rock anthems. There's just something irresistably amusing and energizing about big brass bands playing "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi.

Special No-Thanks to the crappy crappy crappy weather. It was freezing. I swear it had to have been hovering around 6 degrees Celcius that night. Isn't there supposed to be a transition from summer into autumn??

But it was still a beautiful night. A big beautiful full moon to cap off a fantastic evening. Cheers!

Blogged Blog...

Oh man, I'm such a jackass...

I was in such a hurry to get everything all finished up in the office so I could catch the overnight express train to Vienna that I didn't even get around to posting my "catch-up apology" (which I just posted, before this, literally 2 minutes ago) about my lack of blogging before leaving the country.

Anyway, lots has happened.

Vienna of course...new interns arriving...and tonight I just went to the Circus. Yes the ACTUAL circus. Swiss National Circus to be exact.

Anyway, I've taken probably around 500 pictures in the last week...so you'll have to bear with me as there's tons to do in the office at the moment.

But trust me...it'll be worth the wait. At least in terms of the pictures I'll be posting.
